The Tiny Photo Gallery are THOMAS VILHELM – professional photographer and Marie Havgaard – graphic designer. We are a Danish couple living in the small town of Sitges south of Barcelona. For more than 25 years we have been working with photography and design.
We have recently moved our work studio to a new location and created LOCAL 57 – Photo Gallery. If you are in Sitges, come by to visit us in
C/San Sebastian 57 .

Thomas Vilhelm
Danish photographer based in Sitges / Barcelona since 1994
Thomas Vilhelm works as a freelance photographer for the press and magazines, advertising agencies, and companies in Spain and Denmark.
During his photography studies in London, he started his career working for the newspaper The Independent in London covering daily news. Back in Spain he continued his reportage work for La Vanguadia, El Periódico, and the Danish press, as well as developing projects documenting people and subcultures such as the Roma people of La Mina, Barcelona, and the Rockerbillies.
He covered events for international magazines, councils, and brands — from intimate gatherings to high-profile occasions.
In the last year he has been assigned for portraiting figures like Barack Obama and Venus Williams.
Exhibitions in Copenhagen, London, Barcelona… In 2022, he held a major exhibition of his works from Sitges over time at the Miramar cultural center in Sitges. Some of these photographs can be seen in the Sitges LOCAL 57 gallery, along with his personal projects. One of his current projects is a book about Sitges.

I am drawn to new places and the curiosity of what is happening around the corner. It is often there, in the unexplored, that the interesting and beautiful visual stories arise.
I am attracted to everyday encounters, being carried away with the moment and the unprepared situations.”
